A Guide to Spain

April 14, 2022

Best Time To Visit

September – October and February – April (November through January is the rainy season)

Transportation

Most cities in Spain are easy to get around by foot. I walked to nearly every attraction and restaurant, during my recent trip. When traveling between cities, it is best to take the Renfe, which is Spain’s national train network, operating across the country, with high-speed train lines. The system is generally efficient, reliable, and safe. Book tickets here: https://www.renfe.com/es/en

Accommodation

VP Plaza Espana Design

Towering over Plaza de Espana, this high-rise hotel, located in Madrid has a chic contemporary design, with hardwood floors and velvet armchairs. The service definitely delivers and the hotel is surrounded by great restaurants and shopping as well.

Palacio Santa Clara

located in the Valencia city center, this gorgeous boutique hotel is within walking distance to most of the city’s main attractions. It has excellent service and attention to detail, and the rooms are spacious and have a lovely art deco design.

Es Princep

located in Palma de Mallorca, you certainly won’t want to leave this hotel as soon as you arrive. The service is impeccable and you literally have every amenity you could ask for, including a spa and rooftop deck with ample seating and spectacular views of Palma’s skyline. This hotel really hasn’t missed any detail and will make you feel right at home. Each room is very spacious and clean and are even equipped with a tote bag with beach towels. The hotel has a turndown service as well. Breakfast is delicious and there is something for everyone. Also, if you don’t notice an item missing in the buffet, you can order custom items such as omelets. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re in Palma.
